Welcome to the Ornate Rainbowfish Project website.

The Ornate Rainbowfish, Rhadinocentrus ornatus, has a highly restricted geographic
distribution and is classified as ‘Potential Threatened’ by the Queensland Department of
Primary Industries.

The purpose of this project is to.

1. Identify the location of populations of this species and potential suitable habitat, and
2. Raise the public awareness about the species and the threats upon the same.

Save the Ornate Rainbowfish project is project managed by the Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland Bayside Branch.
